Worker falls to death from 4th floor

A 36-year-old construction labourer accidentally fell to death from the fourth floor of an under-construction building at Munireddy Layout in Horamavu on Monday night.

The police said the deceased Seenu hailed from Andhra Pradesh. He was residing at the construction site along with three other labourers.

 They were sleeping in the ground floor of the building on Monday night. Water gushed in as it rained and all the four shifted to fourth floor. Seenu, who was walking around with the help of light from a mobile phone, slipped and fell down as there were no walls.

The other workers found Seenu lying in a pool of blood on the premises of a neighbouring house. They shifted him to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The Ramamurthy Nagar police registered a case of negligence against Suraj Reddy, the owner. It was dark and Seenu was under the influence of alcohol. The owner should have provided proper dwelling for the labourers, police said.
