For the first time, the department has planned to create model electricity villages across the state. “We have asked the MLAs of all constituencies to submit a list of five villages in their constituencies. These villages will be provided streetlights and electricity supply on a par with urban areas ” said Energy minister D K Shivakumar. <br /></p>
