The state government on Saturday suspended BBMP chief engineer K T Nagaraj after the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed properties disproportionate to his known source of income.
The ACB had, a month ago, raided his premises and submitted a report to the chief secretary and additional chief secretary of Urban Development department recommending strict disciplinary action against Nagaraj. The chief engineer had amassed assets worth Rs 7.3 crore while his earnings were Rs 2.55 crore.
