Traditional treasures

Rajasthan Art and Crafts will organise ‘National Handicrafts and Handloom Expo’ from April 7 to 17 at Maratha Hostel Ground, Bull Temple Road. More than 75 stalls and 100 artisans will be participating in this exhibition. The exhibition is showcasing the silk and cotton products made by the best artisans across the country.


Some of the products on display are Shantiniketan Kantha silk sari, Kantha work dress material and printed pure silk sari, Hubli Silk cotton sari from Karnataka and West Bengal, Bhagalpur silk dress material, hand block print, khadi silk and so on.


Apart from these, printed bed sheets, mirror work dress materials, pashmina shawls and Jaipuri kurties will also be available at the event.
