Amid demands from political parties in Tamil Nadu for a detailed probe into the "mysterious" death of late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, AIADMK rebel group leader O Panneerselvam on Wednesday claimed that a situation prevented him seeing the former chief minister during her hospitalisation.

"I had discussed about the treatment given to "Amma" (Jayalalithaa) at the hospital when I was the chief minister. But the situation was such that we were not able to see her even once during the 74 days when she was there in the hospital", Panneerselvam said.

Stating that he still has doubts over the death of Jayalalithaa, Panneerselvam said he only believed the regular hospital bulletins which was issued by doctors with regard to the health conditions of the former chief minister.

Meanwhile, TTV Dhinakaran's supporter and Karnataka's AIADMK "Amma" party secretary Pugazanthi said that photographs of Jayalalithaa during he hospitalisation will be released soon.

"We are waiting for the permission. All the facts will be known once the photos are released", he claimed.
