JOIN USLaw and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T B Jayachandra on Friday said the Karnataka Legislative Assembly secretariat’s controversial decision to take over maintenance of the Vidhana Soudha, the Suvarna Soudha in Belagavi and ownership of other prominent buildings, is not final.
“The decision taken by it (Assembly secretariat) is not final. It is a proposal. The Assembly has only issued a circular (for taking over the maintenance and ownership). The Public Works minister has been asked to sort out all issues,” he told reporters on seeking his reaction to the Assembly secretariat’s move.
He, however, refused to say as to why the Assembly secretariat has taken such a decision. “The issue is between the government and the Assembly secretariat. The issue will be sorted out soon,” he stated.
