Only BJP can address farmers' woes: BJP leader

BJP district in-charge and former chairman of Mysuru Urban Development Authority L Nagendra on Tuesday said that with the Congress, Raitha Sangha and JD(S) failing to address problems of the common man, people are pinning hopes on the BJP to find solutions to their woes.

Addressing a booth-level agents’ meeting at SB Community Hall here, he said it is the right time for party workers to instil confidence among the people about the party.

“People have rejected the Congress, JD(S) and farmers’ organisations as they have failed to understand their problems. People have decided to seek a change and only BJP can bring the necessary change in society and the administrative set-up,” he said.

He pointed out that no one from the BJP has been elected as a legislator so far from Mandya district and advised partymen to create awareness among people about the Centre’s “pro-people” initiatives.

He advised booth-level workers to be in constant touch with residents and officials of their respective area.
