JOIN USSpeaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, he said, a proposal had been sent to the deputy commissioner seeking permission to construct a park in front of the mini Vidhana Soudha, at a cost of Rs 3 lakh from the Legislator’s fund, where the idol, which was already ready, will be installed.
Once the proposal got a sanction, the construction of the park would be handed over to the Department of Public Works, the tahsildar informed.
He revealed that the works on the park construction should have already begun by this time. But unfortunately, with the implementation of the code of conduct in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the work was delayed, he said and added, the statue will be installed near the soldiers memorial in front of the mini Vidhana Soudha.
No fund-raising
For this, there will not be any fund-raising too, for the implementation of the project, Manjunathswamy informed.
He said, as many as 2,282 applications had been received for the Sandhya Suraksha scheme. The process of identification of few more beneficiaries was going on.
Along with this, applications are being sought from the beneficiaries of the various other schemes of the Government.
Manjunathswamy said, five Nemmadi Kendras had been started in Srinivaspur taluk and the officials concerned had been asked to speed up the process of issuing the income and caste certificates to the students.
The tahsildar disclosed that Janaspandana programme will be started again from June 6 onwards in the taluk. On the same day, the Janaspandana programme will be held at Addagal village, the tahsildar informed.
