'Sangh Parivar gets to work as polls near'

The Sangh Parivar conspiring to create communal disturbances in Dakshina Kannada and in Kalladka, Bantwal taluk, after a stabbing incident is a clear indication of action as election is nearing, said CPM state secretary G V Sriram Reddy.

Briefing media here on Sunday, he said that the RSS and Sangh Parivar are engaged in spreading false propaganda to mislead the Hindus. “The Sangh Parivar is engaged in creating communal disturbances for political gain across the state. If the state government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has any political will power, then it should take stringent action against those responsible for communal disturbances in the region. The conspiracy of communal forces should be condemned,” he challenged.

Condemning RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat’s statement that the stabbing incident at Kalladka was for self-protection, Reddy said that through such statements, Bhat is trying to justify the act. Breakdown of administrative mechanism in Dakshina Kannada is also partially responsible for such incidents.

Reddy said that the CPM has made preparations for the next Assembly elections and will field its candidates at five constituencies – Mangaluru (South), Mangaluru (North), Mangaluru, Moodbidri and Belthangady – in Dakshina Kannada.
