The ‘Polo Club’ at The Oberoi has a brand new avatar. Well, it still looks the same but their food has had a brand new makeover. From exciting salads to delicious burgers, you name it and they have it.

With the idea of ‘have a lovely time when you eat’ and ‘eat only as much as you want’ concept, the restaurant offers a platter that is good enough for one and even for a large group.

To start with some of their new popular dishes, ‘Green and grains’ is a good choice. It consists of fresh broccoli, organic mesclun, bamboo seeds, quinoa, ‘chai’, raisins and a balsamic dressing to bring in the flavour.

A good salad is hard to find, but the ‘Iceberg wedges’ available here sure do justice to your palate. The salad includes hearts of palm, barley, moong bean sprouts, blackened chickpeas, sunflower seeds and an interesting buttermilk ranch dressing. It’s simple yet unique in its own way. You can also try the ‘Tomatoes and whipped feta’ with hyacinth beans, spring onions and toasted ciabatta. You’re most probably going to wipe the bowl clean with the feta.

If you are a cheese fan, the ‘Artisanal burrata’ is a wonderful choice. The crunchy asparagus, sauteed mushroom and truffle broth is perfect to make your dining experience a rather memorable one.

A new addition to their menu is also the ‘Military Lodge lamb Madurai style Uttapam’ which you can easily call an Indian version of pizza. The ‘Chicken cordon bleu burger’ has the perfect filling of cheese oozing out of it. It does get a little messy but that’s what makes it a great burger! If you’re a pork fan, the ‘Chorizo fritters’ is a must-try.

Keep some room for the desserts as they are the best way to end a relaxing meal. The ‘Hickory smoked bitter chocolate cake’ can be defined as the best of both worlds on a plate. The ‘Berries and vanilla gelato’ is great for the season with its fruity flavour. But if you still want to relish mangoes before the season ends, the ‘Baked yoghurt with mango compote, fresh mangoes and almond biscotti’ is what you should order.

Apart from this, the restaurant also offers other small and large eats that you can enjoy. A lovely view of the garden and enjoying a light meal like this coupled with the lovely Bengaluru weather — it’s hard to want more. For details, call 25585858.
