The High Court of Karnataka on Friday directed two candidates for the post of gazetted probationers to approach the Karnataka Public Service Commission with their objections for the selection procedure.

Ajith A and Basavaraj S Patil had moved the court seeking a direction for quashing the notification issued in April 2017, contending that it was against the Karnataka Recruitment of Gazetted Probationers Rules, 1997.  They had sought that the comparative merit list for the main examination should be drawn in accordance with the 1997 Rules and that the KPSC should do away with digital evaluation method.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar disposed of the petition directing the petitioners to approach KPSC with their representation.
