'Porn CD is conspiracy to smear Hindu seers'

 
He was referring to police arrest of three men on charge of producing a pornographic CD purported to contain images of a sexual act by someone resembling the Mutt seer.

Pai told the media that he suspected Christian organisations based outside India supporting the production of such CDs in order to besmirch the reputation of Hindu pontiffs.

Such organisations were funding the TV news channels for the purpose, he alleged. Pai further claimed that the CD was produced not in Gokarna, but elsewhere with the motive of wider distribution. “However, the police need to be complimented for thwarting such an attempt,” Pai said, demanding that police investigate about the funders of the production of the CD.
