Addressing reporters on Sunday after holding meeting of 15 district chiefs, Muthalik said that Government has been filing charges against the Sene volunteers intentionally.
“A conspiracy is on to root out Sri Ram Sene. So far 1,718 cases have been booked against Sene volunteers in the State. A volunteer was stripped and paraded at Surapur. The Government which came to power in the name of Hindutva is manifesting anti-Hindu policies,” he said and added that the allegation that some of the members of Sene have underworld connection is far from truth and it is a part of a conspiracy.

“A total of 18 buses were burnt down by BJP workers because some persons were not given cabinet posts but no cases were booked against these workers. BJP Government is twisting, turning and mending laws as per its will and wish,” he alleged and added that Sene does not bow down for Gundagiri, caste, money power, shameless politics etc because Sene is not a substitute for Sangh Parivar.

He said that a recent verdict of Supreme Court on cohabitation is shocking. Sene will demand withdrawal of such a verdict and in this regard, collect over 1 lakh signatures and send it to the President of India on May 5.

Sania’s wedding
Commenting on Tennis star Sania Mirza’s wedlock to Pakistani Cricketer Shohaib Mallik, Muthalik said that such an alliance must be condemned. “She has brought a black mark to the country which recognised her talent and conferred Arjun Award on her. After her wedding, her Indian citizenship should be withdrawn and her name must be scrapped off from the Tennis Board,” he said and added that Sania should not be allowed to play for India in future.
