<p>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will launch the lake-filling project at Ummathuru village in the taluk on Friday. <br /><br />The project will provide water supply to 59 villages of three taluks.<br /><br />Lok Sabha member R Dhruvanarayana and MLA Puttarangashetty visited the venue and took stock of the preparations made for the chief minister’s visit.<br /><br />The MP told reporters that the chief minister will launch the project at 3 pm at Ummathuru lake. Water Resources Minister M B Patil, Ministers H C Mahadevappa, U T Khader and others will attend. More than 10,000 people are expected to participate in the event, he added.<br /><br />The chief minister will also visit the Chamarajanagar District Milk Union Limited unit at 2 pm and inspect the ongoing works. <br /><br />He is expected to announce funds required for installing new equipment, the MP said.<br /></p>
