Students demand infrastructure at college

Last Updated 06 April 2010, 18:32 IST

The students complained that the college has been facing acute shortage of faculty as lecturers posted to the place are getting themselves transferred in a short period of time.

“The situation is so grave that there is not even one lecturer for each department,” the students said. Further, the college lacks laboratory for practicals. Computers lack uninterrupted power supply and defunct computers have not been repaired. There is neither water available in the college building, they complained.

The principal, however, adopted a stoic silence to the woes poured out by the students. Sub-Inspector Tabre Alam Pasha, who was on the spot said that students have been facing problems and it was not proper on the part of the authority concerned to remain indifferent. He apprehended that such indifference would lead to law and order problems.
