JOIN USAs the ongoing work of concentration of bus stand in Balehonnur is being undertaken at snail’s speed, the public has been cursing the administration for the inconvenience caused to them.
The bus stand has literally turned into a marshy field, as the work has been taken up in the rainy season.
Earlier, it was decided to lay interlocks in the bus stand, but, later, the Gram Panchayat settled for concretion. The work, which started on July 12, is being marred by inordinate delay.
The pitiable condition of the road has been irritating lots of passengers, shopkeepers and students. The tyres of the buses have been getting stuck in the mud. Passengers have to walk across the slushy ground to go to toilet and shops at the bus stand.
The owners of the shops said that even though they have requested the B Kubanur Gram Panchayat to dump more stones in the site, the officials and elected representatives have not done the needful.
