Softvision to focus on mobility solutions

Last Updated 05 August 2017, 18:38 IST

Softvision, a global developer of digital products, is expanding its Mysuru and Bengaluru studios to give primacy to mobility solutions.

According to Softvision CEO Andres Angelani, the company has created mobile apps for very popular customers in the US. “Now we are bringing that to our studios in India located in Bengaluru and Mysuru,” he said.

Angelani said the mobility vertical is witnessing significant growth. “We have also been working in home automation and consumer product line. So are creating products for some of the security companies in the US,” he told DH.

Softvision CEO also pointed out that the company has created products that not only integrate the hardware through more standard protocols but also a digital testing framework that tests all the hardware beforehand and accelerate hardware testing.

“In most cases, when we are integrating or building hubs that integrate all these different things into a cohesive mobile application. We not only produce and create the software for the hub but also we test all the different ecosystems/environments of devices that are connected to it,” he said.

He also pointed out that studios help in accelerating the production cycle by at least 40% to 50%. “We normally concentrate in the software and mobilities which are the access points and systems around it. We are involved in the integration of the product. Making devices on multiple brands and multi models talk to each other will help,” he said.

Hiring plan

Considering the importance of digital business, the company has decided to ramp up its strength in the space. “We have just launched in Bengaluru and globally we are a 2,500 people company. In the next 2 years, we are projected to add on 800-1,000 people in the digital space in India,” said Angelani.

He said the fresh hiring will be a combination of engineers and designers in India. “We are seeing substantial growth now because we are helping companies that have been traditional in the space but now they need to transform. Most of our projects are in the digital transformation area,” he said.
