<div align="justify">Over 72 hours of non-stop search and seizures by Income Tax sleuths at the residences and offices of Energy Minister D K Shivakumar, his relatives and associates concluded on Saturday.<br /><br />Sleuths seized huge volume of documents relating to investments in India and abroad, benami property, bank passbooks, cheques and Income Tax papers. <br /><br />The sleuths are yet to confirm recovery of unaccounted cash, jewellery and demonetised notes.<br /><br />Searches were conducted at 66 locations, including the minister’s residence in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kanakapura, Sathanur, Mandya, Hassan and Mysuru, his father-in-law Thimmaiah’s residence and industrial unit in Mysuru and the residence of Dwarkanath Guruji in R T Nagar, Bengaluru. At least 120 I-T officials conducted the searches.<br /><br />Shivakumar told reporters on Saturday. “I will not say anything now, but documents were seized from my residence.” <br /><br />In Mysuru, Hassan I-T officials concluded the raids on the premises of the relatives and confidants of Shivakumar in Mysuru and Hassan. The officials had raided the house of Sachin Narayan, son-in-law of former minister B Shivaram, and close aide of Shivakumar on B M Road in Hassan.<br /><br />More than eight I-T officials searched the houses of Sachin and his brother Chethan and quizzed them about their business. The brothers own the SBG Group and are involved in liquor business. <br /><br />In Mysuru, three officials concluded the search operation at 12 noon and transported documents in a suitcase and two bags. Seven I-T officials from Delhi commenced the raid on Wednesday and four of them left the house on Friday. According to sources, I-T officials collected details from Sathyanarayan, son of Thimmaiah, and his wife. <br /><br />The officials also conducted raids on the houses of Thimmaiah’s aide Edwin in <br />Ittigegudu and those belonging to a couple of relatives of Shivakumar in T K Layout and Dattagalli.<br /><br /></div>
