THE SOUL selects her own society,
Then shuts the door;
On her divine majority
Obtrude no more.
Unmoved, she notes the chariot’s
pausing         5
At her low gate;
Unmoved, an emperor is kneeling
Upon her mat.
I ’ve known her from an ample nation
Choose one;         10
Then close the valves of her attention
Like stone.

If an alien replaced my grandma

If an alien replaced my
It would be horrible. Oh brother!
What if this alien gave me worms instead of noodles?
I would run away, saying “Toodles!”
And what language would this alien speak?
Would it be a language called Tweak?
Suppose this alien had seven eyes.
How dumb it would look when it cries!
My grandma tells me a bedtime story every night.

What would this alien freak tell me? I would most likely hide.
Now if this freak’s face was green in colour,
(Could it possibly look any duller?)
What lipstick would it wear?
Yellow, I think.
And that would really really stink.
It’d carry a handbag of, maybe,
electric blue,
Perhaps filled with some dangerous powder labeled ‘floo’.
Just looking at this creature would
make anyone sick.
Stay with her or run away? The latter, I pick.

Thunder Shower

Pitter-patter, pitter-patter
Down goes the rain
It is raining drops of liquid silver;
It rains so fast, as if it were
Running to catch a train.

Pitter-patter, pitter-patter
Now its companion comes along
Rumbling like, as if a
Piano is tumbling down.
Now they go together again,
To form another thunder shower.

The nature's peace
Is attacked by a deadly disease
And that is man's greed
His need is not only for feed
All the animals' skin is now
Bags of leather.

The beautiful Peacocks are
Killed for their feather
All the trees are now furniture
To nature this is man's gesture

Stop greed
Take only what you need
Saving earth is a important need
So let it not be spoilt
By man's greed
