CELEBRATION

A cultural festival is organised every year in memory of  Padmabhushan H Narasimhaiah, a freedom fighter and academician, at the Dr H N Kalakshetra, Jayanagar. The festival will be held from June 6 to June 11 this year and will provide a feast of cultural programmes, including music, dance and drama by top artistes from these fields.

It will be inaugurated on June 6 with a play called Chitrapata, directed by B Jayashree.
Jayanthi Kumaresh, internationally-acclaimed artiste, will give a veena recital on June 7.
A music ensemble Earth N Beat will perform on June 8. Senoir vocalist and recipient of Ganakalashre title Sukanya Prabhakar will present a vocal recital on June 9. 

The husband and wife duo Sanjay Shantharam and Shama Shantharam will present a Kuchipudi dance recital on June 10.

The final event will be Kavya Sangeetha, a rendering of selected lyrics of Kannada classics by Shankar Shanbogue on June 11. The festival will commence at
