At the same time, it’s not advisable to keep your feet enclosed and not let any air pass through, as this ultimately leads to the choking of your feet and allows blisters to pop up. Since most clothes worn in summer are usually short, one needs to keep in mind the right kind of footwear which gels well with summer clothes and also proves to be comfortable and helpful.

Sneakers, wedge sandals, flip flops, flats and ankle shoes are the ones which are prominently preferred during summer. Flip-flops are comfortable during this season, they are simple and look good when worn with short skirts. Whether you are dressed in casuals or semi-casuals, flats are the perfect choice. Avoid big and bulky sneakers, and wear something that does not look heavy and is less taxing on your feet.

Taradevi, a store manager at a footwear outlet, says, “During summer, we order for a separate footwear collection. Our collection comprises footwear apt for the season. This way, the customers also notice their needs when they look at them. Kitten heels, flats, colourful ankle-length socks and flip-flops form a major portion of the collection. The flats, heels and flip-flops are not heavily embellished. Bright-coloured flats and flip-flops are also a part of the summer collection.”

Stilettoes and boots are two things which one needs to stay away from. Though stilettoes go well with short skirts, they don’t give the right summer appeal. They end up making one feel uncomfortable and cannot be worn comfortably for long hours. Boots are too heavy to be carried around and are quite choking as well.

During summers, fatigue catches up on a person quickly due to excess heat and when heavy boots are worn, they make a person feel heavy and become tough to carry around after a point of time. For those who are worried about those ugly tan lines, which appear on the feet, socks are the one and only solution to protect them from the harmful rays of the sun.
