The decision was taken after a four-hour marathon meeting of the core committee comprising 10 chief ministers, senior cabinet ministers and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia here.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister, decided that the working groups should submit their report in two months, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar informed newsmen after the meeting.
The working group on agriculture production will be headed by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will head working group on consumer affairs and the group on food and public distribution will be headed by Ahluwalia.
