<p>Deepa, the niece of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa, and her brother Deepak on Friday said that AIADMK government cannot take a unilateral decision to convert their aunt’s Poes Garden residence into a memorial without consulting them.<br /><br />The duo claimed that they were the Jayalalithaa’s blood relations and that her Poes Garden residence belonged to them.<br /><br />Opposing the state government’s plan to convert Jayalalithaa residence into a memorial, Deepa said she would take legal recourse against the ruling AIADMK’s move.<br /><br />However, Deepa’s brother Deepak said though he and his sister may be willing to give their aunt’s property for a memorial, the government shall follow the procedure established under law before taking over the house.</p>
