SWD encroachment

Residents of Balaji Layout said flooding in the area was caused by the encroachment of the storm water drain.

"Some people have encroached the storm water drain, blocking the flow of water. Every time there is rain, there is flooding with three feet of water in houses," the residents said.

The residents said repeated complaints to the BBMP has not yielded any results. "It seems officials are colluding with the encroachers. Our repeated complaints have seen no action," they added.
