Toshi Sabri defends sister who beat daughter after Kohli's post goes viral

Last Updated 24 August 2017, 06:19 IST

About a week ago, a video of a woman teaching her daughter went viral on social media. However, it did so for all the wrong reasons: For one, the mother was abusing the daughter by scolding and hitting her for not getting her lessons done correctly, even as the daughter, merely 3 years old, begged her mother to teach her calmly.

When the video went viral, scores of people came to deride the mother for her un-motherlike attitude while teaching her daughter, with even the likes of Virat Kohli coming out in condemning the act, saying "The fact that the pain and anger of the child is ignored and ones own ego to make the child learn is so massive that compassion has totally gone out of the window. This is shocking and saddening to another dimension. A child can never learn if intimidated. This is hurtful."

Now, singers Toshi and Sharib Sabri have come forth to both congratulate Virat Kohli for bringing the video out, saying they would they do the same...but then they change the tune completely, shifting the angle to justify the actions of the mother, who is their sister, saying that the  scolding and beating the girl, and filming the whole ordeal, was done to convince the father of the girl's stubbornness, and again changing the tune to express thanks for the concern shown by the people.

All of a sudden, they somehow bring in selfies, school and parks, and that they somehow harm the girl, and then go to ask people to stay away from the matter.
