JOIN US EasyGov, a cloud solution to help people discover the entitlement from thousands of welfare schemes from the government, bagged the first position and a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh at the pitch finale of #BuildOnIndiaStack, a venture pitch competition, organised by iSPIRT and Dalberg here on Thursday.
Omidyar Network Partner C V Madhukar said they received over 180 entries and a total of 12 were selected for the competition. These are early-stage ventures that are tech-based solutions leveraging the India Stack platform at the core of their business model to bring financial or transactional services to the underserved.
These 12 finalists from diverse sectors such as e-governance, healthcare, education, FinTech, environment and agriculture, gave a presentation to VCs, including the Bharat Innovations Fund, Omidyar Network and Unitus Seed Fund.
The runners-up, Journee and Megdap received prize money of Rs 2 lakh, and Rs 1.5 lakh, respectively. FreeSave and Krishiyog received consolation prizes.
The winners will interact with Nandan Nilekani, who will mentor them for shaping their ideas.
The founders of the winning startup, EasyGov, Amit Shukla and Vineet Sharma said, “IndiaStack has created enabling environment for democratising the government welfare scheme delivery. Acceptance of eSign document at all government offices can make it really big.”
IndiaStack is the largest application programming interface (API) in the world supported by an open API policy by the Government of India.
