Sherazi steams past Ahsan

Sherazi made a confident start and the players were tied at 43-all when Javid missed a straight blue pot to give the Indian a slight advantage.

Sherazi potted the blue followed up with a pink to pocket the frame 54-43. In second frame, Sherazi  took the driver’s seat early and took the frame pretty easily at 51-12 to take a healthy lead of 2-0.

However, Javid cameback in the third frame to reduce the margin before Sherazi bagged the fourth 63-16 to come up triumphs.

Later, Manjot Singh went down to Pakistan’s Asjad Iqbal 81-25, 67-10, 75-42.
While another Paikstani boy Muhammad Ishtiaq defeated Simon Lee of Hong Kong 3-1 in a hard fought match.  After losing the opening frame 37-58 the Pakistani fought back brilliantly to win the second 60-38 before conjuring a break of 40 to take the third 82-70. Ishtiaq then stepped up the pedal in the decider to emerge victorious 70-40.

Results: Group B: Mundir Sherazi (Ind) bt Muhammed Ahsan Javid (Pak) 3-1 (54-43, 51-12, 22-70, 63-16).

Group F: Asjad Iqbal (Pak) bt Manjot Singh (Ind) 3-0 (81-25, 67-10, 75-42).
Group H: Muhammad Ishtiaq (Pak) bt Simon Lee (HK) 3-1 (37-58, 60-38, 82 (40)-70, 70-40).
