The K Hirannaiah award, meant for those contributed to the field of professional theatre, has been bagged by Lakshmanarao Muttangi, who runs a drama company in Bidar
district. The award carries a purse of Rs 5,000. Academy Chairman B V Rajaram, released the list of awardees in Bangalore on Friday.
The Academy has announced annual awards for 15 artistes. The award carries Rs 5,000. The awards will be presented at a function to be held at Jaganmohan Palace in Mysore on April 17.
