The sixth edition of the Karnataka Premier League, beginning on September 1, could lose some star players, with the Duleep Trophy kicking off a week later.

The squads for the Duleep Trophy were announced by the BCCI on Wednesday. Karnataka’s K Gowtham (India Red), Karun Nair and R Samarth (India Green) were named in the squads. The tournament will be held from September 7 to 29 in Kanpur and Lucknow, meaning the trio will be available in the KPL only during the first week of the tournament.
