Armed men barged into the house of an elderly couple in broad daylight and robbed of their gold valuables at Banashankari 3rd Stage on Tuesday.
According to police, Raghuram (63), a retired accountant with a private company, and his wife Bhanumathi (61) were sitting in their drawing room chatting after their lunch. Two men armed with knives barged into the house and threatened the couple that they would be killed if they raised an alarm.
The robbers snatched two bangles, a gold chain and the mobile phones from them and escaped. The couple, who were in a state of shock, took some time to gather courage to inform the neighbours about the robbery.
The Girinagar police rushed to the spot and obtained the CCTV footage to identify the robbers. The police have also obtained details on the physical description of the robbers and the language in which they conversed.
