Shivakumara Swami of Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru, who was suffering from an illness, will be discharged on Friday, a statement by BGS Hospital said. “He had infections in the liver, gall bladder and pancreas. Then he developed jaundice despite antibiotics,” said Dr B S Ravindra, a gastroenterologist at the press conference.
He said his stents were blocked due to the infections. The doctors at BGS Hospital inserted three more stents.
More tests are needed to assess his health condition. The next treatment will be decided later, said Dr Ravindra
“There is an improvement in his health. Swamiji is demanding immediate discharge. However, he is being persuaded to remain in the hospital for the blood tests. After that, he will be discharged. Now he is fine. He has been giving darshans,” added Dr Ravindra.
