Secretary to the department of Youth Services and Sports I M Vittal Murthy furnished certain information to the committee, which is headed by Congress MLC K C Kondaiah. The organisers had allegedly commented lightly about the MLCs for questioning the way IPL matches were organised in Bangalore. Senior MLCs Nadagouda and Mukyamantri Chandru had moved the privilege motion against the organisers. The Committee also ascertained the conditions laid down by the State Government to lease out the Stadium.
It has asked the Secretary to provide all details, including whether there is a provision to play IPL match or not at the stadium. This apart, the Committee decided to summon heads of Revenue, Home, Urban Development and Excise departments to get more details in this regard in the next meeting.
