Pineapple Express will perform on October 5, 9 pm onwards at The Humming Tree.
The band is all set to release their highly anticipated EP, ‘Uplift’, at this event.
The progressive fusion rock and experimental band with influences of Djent, electronic music are mainly known for the high energy and signature songwriting with their compositions.
‘Pineapple Express’ (formerly ‘E-swara Project’) was a result of a bid to take part in major music festival held in Bengaluru (‘BreakFree’ - August 2012).
Though the band was only formed just three days prior to the competition, they tasted success with their music.
The band members include Yogeendra Hariprasad on ‘keys’, ‘samples’ and ‘vocals’, Bhargav Sarma on ‘guitar’, Gopi Shravan on ‘drums’ and ‘percussion’, Karthik Chennoji Rao on vocals, Ritwik Bhattacharya on ‘guitar’, Arjun M P N on ‘flute’, Jimmy Francis John on vocals and Shravan Sridhar on ‘violin’.
The members are from different parts of the country with diverse musical backgrounds, thus bringing fusion into the band from the very roots.
‘Pineapple Express’ live performances comprise of various catchy originals combined with fused and interpreted covers of popular songs.
