Look stunning for the festivities

A new hairstyle and a stylish outfit can undoubtedly amp your look, but it’s your make-up that completes you. If you are looking forward to an intimate gathering, a wedding or a Diwali party, make-up can make or break your style.

Here’s a guide to the six coolest party looks that you can recreate this festive season:

Ombré

It’s the biggest trend of the season; be it hair, lips or eyes. Ombré is all about playing around with two different colours. Paint your eyelids using a mishmash of green and blue or peach and purple with a hint of metallic tone. For eyeliners, use a shade of khaki with peacock blue or purple blended with green. This will make your eyes look bold and beautiful. For the two-tone lip, add a dash of burgundy on the corner of your lips with a splash of pink in the centre or red lip liner. Finish this look with braids, flip-out blow dry or straight hair with some coloured streaks that make you stand out.

All natural

This is perfect for day time, as it gives you a natural glow. If you are heading out for a casual brunch, moisturise your skin well and let it breathe. Apply a soft concealer or colour corrective under your eyes to hide any spots or blemishes. Enhance your overall appearance with coloured eye liners and kajal. Slive, voluminous hair works best here.

Glitter & more

The sparkly, disco-ball lip has taken over runways. To get a shimmery dramatic pair of lips, apply a coat of lipstick of any shade and sprinkle a thick layer of glitter. Seal this with a liquid-based lip sealer. You can also shape a cat eye and add a hint of sparkle with a glittery eyeliner. Try emerald green, turquoise or bright purple eyeliners. Team this look with some soft braids.

Graphic lines

Nothing is more captivating than a bold lip and a full pout. Step away from the ordinary and try deep red berry, plum, raspberry marcala or brown lip colours. You can also make your eyes pop with graphic liners. Neutral tones like black, brown, grey or monochrome work well. Draw different shapes and patterns on your eyes for a bit of drama. Romantic waves are a perfect match here.

Cut crease

This is a technique in which the crease is designed sharply using black colour with contrasting bright eye shadows. This will define your eyes and make them appear almond-shaped. Finish with a winged liner, double coats of mascara, glossy lips and deep coloured rouge on your cheeks. A loose bun or side braids will work well here.

Go sleek

A sleek and straight appearance, when done right, can make you look like a million bucks. Glam queens Gigi Hadid, Rhhiana and Kim Kardarshian have been flaunting sleek and sexy look on the red carpet. For a sleek yet simple style, pull your hair into a high ponytail with statement jewellery. Create some sheen by
using a shine spray or serum to tame flyaways. Complement this hairstyle with a minimalistic, natural looking make-up and coloured mascara like red, brown, blue or turquoise.
