In what is certain to come as a major embarrassment to the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, a minister publicly declared that he had got several police personnel of his caste posted to police stations of their choice.
I managed to get six inspectors and over a dozen constables posted at police stations of their choice,’’ UP Minister for Handicapped Development Om Prakash Rajbhar said while addressing a public meeting at Rasra in Ballia district, about 400 km from here, on Sunday.
Rajbhar is the president of Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP), a party of the ‘rajbhar’, a backward caste, community.
