Man held stealing cash, revolver

The Yelahanka New Town police arrested 63-year-old Prasanna Kumar, a security guard, for allegedly stealing cash and a .32 revolver from the house where he was working.

The police said, “Kumar was working under Sathish Chandra who runs a school in Yelahanka New Town. On Friday, family members had gone to Hassan to visit their relatives and told Kumar to take care of the house. Taking advantage of the situation, Kumar stole the cash and the revolver. When Chandra’s family returned on Monday, they found the house ransacked and later found the cash and the revolver were missing. They immediately registered a complainant with the police.”

The Yelahanka New Town police arrested Kumar, recovered the revolver and are interrogating him about the cash he stole from the house.
