Last Updated 14 April 2010, 15:56 IST

Addressing the reporters after attending the party workers meet at party office in Chikmagalur on Wednesday, Patil said that State Government has not paid any attention towards providing basic facilities to people.

“The State is reeling under electricity crisis. Instead of solving the crisis, the Government is busy luring and convincing the people through advertisements,” he said urging people to understand the state of mind of this Government.

Informing that 50 per cent seats were reserved for women in Kerala during GP elections, he said that no such efforts have been made in Karnataka so far.  Patil said that Chikmagalur Town Municipal Council has passed an order to ban animal slaughter on Ambedkar Jayanthi. This move is contradictory to the belief of Ambedkar, Patil said.
