TP to submit proposal for additional kerosene

The meet decided to submit a proposal to supply additional quantity of kerosene to the district as Kodagu is a hilly region.

The KDP meeting was held under the presidentship of TP President H S Subhashini. The members expressed shock over the reduction in the supply of kerosene to the district. 




Food Inspector Kunhamma said “Kodagu was supplied with nearly 24,000 litre less kerosene. Zilla Panchayat has already sent a proposal demanding additional quantity of kerosene, However, all our efforts are in vain.”  She said “district was supposed to get 3.48 lakh litre kerosene every month. However, now we are getting 3.24 lakh litre kerosene.”

Shortage of students

As students residing in government run hostels are not given bicycles, students are not showing interest to enroll themselves in hostels, said officials. They urged the TP President to urge the government to solve the problem at the government-level.

TP President directed BEO to take measures to evict the encroached land of the government school in association with villagers and SDMC members.  CDPO said “there are complaints on the food being supplied to anganwadi centres. A report has been submitted to the government on the poor quality of food.”

The TP President also directed CDPO to initiate action against Anganwadi worker for going on leave by signing the attendance book.  TP Vice President Chitra Nanaiah, EO N S Puttaswamy were present.
