<p>Magadi Road police reportedly thrashed a movie actor who created a nuisance by consuming liquor in a public place at Ramamandira in Gopalapura in the wee hours of Wednesday.<br /><br />According to police, Rakesh and his friend Shreyas and six others were found consuming liquor around 1.30 am. A passerby informed the police and Hoysala patrolling vehicle rushed to the spot. Rakesh and Shreyas began arguing with the police while their six friends ran away. The two were slapped a fine of Rs 200 for smoking in public place but they refused to pay. They were later taken to the police station, warned and sent home, police said.<br /><br />However, Rakesh claimed that he was standing near Ramamandira speaking with his friends when the police took him the station and thrashed him.
