Raj Thackeray meets Fadnavis

Last Updated 02 November 2017, 09:22 IST

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray on Thursday called on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at chief minister's residence in Malabar Hill, Mumbai.

The meeting assumes significance in the wake of the recent attacks by alleged MNS workers on illegal hawkers outside railway stations in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

However, senior MNS leader and former minister Bala Nandgoankar said the meeting was related to issues vis-a-vis Kalyan-Dombivli suburbs.

"Both are in the meeting now. There are other issues, however, they could even discuss this as well," Nandgaonkar told reporters.

On Wednesday, the MNS workers had clashed with the Congress workers when the latter took out a pro-hawkers morcha.
