Mithul, Tejas do it for Combined City XI

In a match where 36 wickets fell, Combined City XI trounced Shimoga Zone by 167 runs in the KSCA Inter-Zonal under-16 tournament at the Aditya Global (1) ground here.

Shimoga started off well by skittling Combined for a modest 109 in 43 overs as Nishanth claimed 5/22. Shimoga batsmen, however, fared much worse as they folded up for 70 in 26 overs with Mithul Bhat returning impressive figures of 7/11.

Combined produced a much-improved batting in their second hit before declaring their innings at 216 for six to set Shimoga a target of 256. Shimoga was no better than their display in the first innings and crashed to 89 all out 36.1 overs.

Tejas G was the wrecker-in-chief with figures of 6/31 while Pratham N scalped the remaining wickets (4/27) as Combined collected five points.
