Forum of Former Vice-Chancellors of Karnataka State Universities (FVCK) has advised the state government to conduct a proficiency test to solve problems of over three lakh students who lack validity to their degrees awarded by the KSOU.
Over three lakh students are unable to get employment or register for further studies as their degrees awarded between 2013 and 2015 by KSOU lack validity.
The government should obtain permission from the UGC, conduct a proficiency test to ensure validity to such degrees, an FVCK press release stated.
The test may be objective questions covering the entire syllabus of each paper on the lines of CET or NEET. Either KSOU or any National Testing Organisation with credibility can conduct the test. UGC's recommendations can be sought to finalise the agency.
