The police identified the couple as Shankar (25) and Anita (20), who lived in the same locality and who were deeply in love with each other. Shankar was a middle school dropout while Anita was waiting for her 10th standard results. They left no death note. The bodies were found on the first floor of Shankar's residence, where some construction activity is on.

Pervert killer

Yelahanka police who arrested Madhu Raj alias Raju on charges of murder on Wednesday have described him as mentally disturbed. On Thursday, ACP Puttaswamy Gowda said Raju had murdered his wife Bhagya by with a screw driver and even dismembered her.

2 die in road crash

A 45-year-old steward in a hotel on Museum Road died in a road accident on Victoria Road during the wee hours of Thursday.

At around 4 am, the victim, Lurdhanadhan, a resident of Lindan Street, Austin Town was returning home. At Palm Groove junction, a speeding BPO cab rammed into his scooter.

Injured, Lurdhandhan  succumbed to injuries at a hospital. In another accident, Ramesh (22) of Bidadi was run over by a BMTC bus while he was trying to cross the Mysore Road.

Student drowned

An eigth standard student, Narasimhamurthy drowned in Shettihalli Lake in Mallasandra on Thursday. Narasimhamurthy, who was sitting on the shore while his friends took  a swim, later decided to join them. However, he drowned as he did not know to swim.
