Belagavi Rural MLA Sanjay Patil has criticised Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by stating that he can go to Pakistan after observing Tipu Jayanti.
Addressing BJP, VHP and Bajrang Dal activists at a protest organised against Tipu Jayanti on the DC's office premises here, he said so far, no chief minister had thought of observing Tipu Sultan's Jayanti. But Siddaramaiah has thought of it. Hence, he should go to Pakistan. Now, a question has arisen whether Siddaraimaiah was born in Lahore or Mysuru, he criticised.
Patil said, "We are not against Muslims, but against Tipu Sultan. We will oppose Tipu Sultan Jayanti by conducting a prayer to the portrait of Shivaji Maharaj on November 10, in every lane."
