Last Updated 07 November 2017, 18:47 IST

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday rejected the relaxation plea sought by state JD(S) president H D Kumaraswamy in the Janthakal mining case.

Kumaraswamy has asked for relief from appearing before the investigating officer of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing illegal mining cases, once every 15 days, due to his poor health condition.

Justice Rathnakala, while hearing the case over a video conference from Kalaburagi, rejected the plea and directed Kumaraswamy to appear before the investigating officer once every 15 days till the final report is submitted in the case or till six months, whichever is earlier.
