'Cong-BJP tie-up for DCC bank chief's post'

Addressing a press conference, Devaraj said that let Congress leaders clarify as to how the party, which calls itself a secular party, could engage in to a tie-up with BJP, which is alleged to be communal party,  in the co-operative society election.

“The tie-up between Congress and BJP is a unholy and a sort of illegitimate relation. It is ridiculous that BJP leaders and the Congress district president are in direct contact,” he added.  Congress and BJP have joined hands to please former DCC Bank President Bhojegowda and former MLA Dharmegowda.

“JD(S) has taken the election as a prestige issue and will fight it out sincerely,”  Devaraj said. He informed that the Executive Board of the party will be formed within a week. “Village-level campaign programme will be organised to strengthen the party in the wake of Gram Panchayat election. A party workers meet will be organised at Moodigere soon, “he added. Leaders Chandrappa and Khalid Mohammed were present during the news conference.
