Man kill himself, blames wife in suicide note

A 24-year-old man was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his rented house in Sweepers Colony near HAL on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Anthony Robert. He had recently shifted to Bengaluru from Hubballi and was working as a housekeeping staff in a private firm.

The police said that Robert's friend Munibachappa found him hanging from the ceiling fan when he visited the house on Thursday at 12.30 pm.

The police found a suicide note on the spot which claimed that his wife, her paramour Ananda Reddy in Hubballi, her brother and mother were responsible for his suicide.

Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against his wife Prabha, Ananda Reddy and others. Further investigation is on.

Student dead

In another case, a 17-year-old II PUC student, who reportedly attempted suicide on Saturday, died at a hospital on Sunday.

The police have identified the girl as Merlin Diana, a daughter of Robert who works as a driver with SRS Travels.

Robert found her hanging from a ceiling fan in her room at their residence in Annasandra Palya near HAL on Saturday at 10.30 pm. He immediately shifted her to the hospital. However, she did not respond the treatment and the doctors declared her dead at 1.50 pm on Sunday.

The police said that according to her father she was depressed from the past few weeks, but she did not reveal anything to the family members. Reason for her death may be revealed in the further course of the investigation, they added.
