The Mumbai Police will examine all the possible videos and footages on last week's towing incident before coming to any conclusions on the pros and cons of what exactly happened.

While Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had taken a serious view and described the incident "absolutely insensitive and dangerous", Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amitesh Kumar has suspended Constable Shashank Rane, who towed the car with a  woman and an infant on board.

While on Saturday a video surfaced which showed the stressed woman and the seven-month-old child in the car being taken away by the town van, on Sunday another video suggested that the  infant was in the lap of a man near the car.

"The events prior to the actual towing, as shown in these fresh videos, will also be a part of the enquiry besides the video in which the car is being seen towed away," a police officer said.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra State Commission for Woman has also taken cognizance of the incident, and its chairperson Dr Vijaya Rahatkar has  sought a report from the traffic wing of the Mumbai police.
