BSY seeks white paper on state's economic condition

BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa urged the state government to release a white paper on the prevailing economic condition of the state in the ongoing winter session of the state legislature in Belagavi.

Briefing media persons here on Monday, he said the state has been witnessing Tughlaq administration in the past four-and-a-half years. The government is engaged in looting funds released by the Centre, he charged.

Yeddyurappa alleged that CPM is behind the murder of RSS worker Anand in Kerala and condemned the incident.

He said Hindu activists are murdered to disrupt peace and harmony in coastal Karnataka. Both PFI and SDPI organisations are involved in such murders. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is responsible for such organisations to be active on the coast, he alleged.

Slamming the chief minister for mocking him, Yeddyurappa said, "Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and K J George are on bail. Siddaramaiah has only three months' time in power. The voters will teach him a lesson in the forthcoming assembly election."

He challenged the chief minister to hold a tour like him. "The Congress is a broken house. We are planning to cover at least three assembly constituencies during BJP's Parivarthana Yatra. Those who are not able to digest my work are levelling allegations against me," he said.

Warned of strict action

Yeddyurappa warned of initiating strict action against those who oppose MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty joining the BJP. Haladi is a good charactered and an influential politician of the region. Owing to the wrong decision taken by the BJP during its tenure, he had deserted the party. "After December, Haladi will work officially for the BJP," he said.
