International faculty interaction programme today

The Department of Applied Zoology, Mangalore University, will organise an international faculty interaction programme on the theme "Molecular and Medical Genetics" at Old senate Hall at 9:30 am on November 15.

Dr Doron M Behar, who is from Clalit National Cancer Control and Personalized Medicine Programme, Carmel Medical Centre, Haifa, Israel, will be the chief guest. Prof Gyaneshwer Chaubey, who is a renowned scientist from the Estonian Biocentre and University of Tartu, Estonia will be present.

Among the speakers, Prof George Van Driem, Chair of Linguistics, University of Bern, Switzerland, will speak on the topic "The Peopling of Himalaya". Dr Chandana Basu Mallick, from the Edinburgh, UK, will deliver a talk on "Genetics of Pigmentation and Hair Shape."

This International Interactive Programme aims to contribute to the upliftment of scientific knowledge and also contribute extensively to the scientific community and the general public.
